18 – 24 ΜΑΪΟΥ 2010: ΕΚΘΕΣΗ ΖΩΓΡΑΦΙΚΉΣ ΥΠΟ ΤΗΝ ΑΙΓΙΔΑ ΤΟΥ ΕΚΑΤΕ. Πίνακες επωνύμων Κυπρίων ζωγράφων θα διατίθενται προς πώληση για να αγορασθούν ιατρικά εργαλεία και εξοπλισμός. Ώρες 10 π.μ. – 10 μ.μ.

18 – 24 ΜΑΪΟΥ 2010: Προβολή του συγκλονιστικού βραβευμένου ντοκυμανταίρ ΓΑΖΑ ΕΡΧΟΜΑΣΤΕ, σε σκηνοθεσία Κώστα Αυγερόπουλου και Γιάννη Καρυπίδη. Με τη συνεργασία της Παλαιστινιακής Παροικίας. Ώρες 8 μ.μ – 10 μ.μ.

21 ΜΑΪΟΥ 2010: Κορυφαία εκδήλωση της Πρωτοβουλίας.
ΜΕΓΑΛΗ ΣΥΝΑΥΛΙΑ με τον εύψυχο Εβραίο GILAD ATZMON, ένα από τους μαχητικότερους αντισιωνιστές και από τους σημαντικότερους τζαζίστες της εποχής μας. Με την ιέρεια της Ελληνικής παράδοσης ΓΙΩΤΑ ΒΕΗ σε συγκλονιστικές ερμηνείες. Με το Παλαιστινιακό συγκρότημα Hip-Ηop WLAD EL HARA – Τα παιδιά της γειτονιάς, με τον επαναστατικό στίχο. Με το συγκρότημα ανατολικής μουσικής ΤΟ ΜΕΛΤΕΜΙ που σεργιανά κι ενώνει το Αιγαίο με την Μικρά Ασία και την Μικρά Ασία με την Ανατολή και με την Αραβική μουσική. Και με αυτή την Αρχαία Φωνή της Κύπρου, που μας έρχεται από τα βάθη των χρόνων, τον ΜΙΧΑΛΗ ΤΤΕΡΛΙΚΚΑ. Ώρα 8 .μ.μ

ΕΛΑΤΕ ΝΑ ΣΑΣ ΚΕΡΑΣΟΥΜΕ ΜΙΑ ΣΠΑΝΙΑ ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗ ΠΑΝΔΑΙΣΙΑ

14 Μαϊου ξεκίνησε από την Ιρλανδία το πρώτο από οκτώ καράβια, ένας μικρός «απελευθερωτικός στόλος» που θα διασχίσουν τη Μεσόγειο για να σπάσουν την πολιορκία της Γάζας, που κρατάει σαράντα χρόνια τώρα. Κόντρα στους κυνικούς που κυβερνούν τον πλανήτη, θα μεταφέρουν χιλιάδες τόνους βοήθειας (κυρίως οικοδομικά υλικά –τσιμέντο, ξυλεία, σίδερο – γεννήτριες και μηχανήματα υποδομών) και εξακόσιους περίπου επιβάτες, (ανθρώπους του κόσμου της εργασίας, της κοινωνικής δράσης, του πολιτισμού, της πολιτικής, μεταξύ τους πολλά μέλη κοινοβουλίων, απεσταλμένοι διεθνών μέσων ενημέρωσης, εκπρόσωποι οργανώσεων αλληλεγύης και γνωστοί ακτιβιστές) από 40 και πλέον χώρες.

Η Διεθνής Συνεργασία που υλοποιεί αυτή την αποστολή αποτελείται από τις παρακάτω σινιστώσες:

1. Το διεθνές Free Gaza Movement

2. Τους Παλαιστίνιους της διασποράς ECESG

3. Την Ελληνική πρωτοβουλία Ένα καράβι για τη Γάζα

4. Τη Σουηδική κίνηση Ship to Gaza

5. Την Τουρκική μη κυβερνητική οργάνωση IHH

Στα πλοίο της Ελληνικής Πρωτοβουλίας θα επιβιβασθεί Διακομματική αντιπροσωπεία από την Κύπρο, μεταφέροντας μήνυμα Αλληλεγγύης και Ελευθερίας στον καρτερικό Λαό της Γάζας, μαζί με την ανθρωπιστική βοήθεια που προσέφερε ο Κυπριακός Λαός. Παράλληλα διεξάγεται έρανος με κατάθεση στον λογαριασμό της

Με τα χρήματα αυτά θα αγορασθούν υλικά και θα φορτωθούν στον Πειραιά.

Παράλληλα η Πρωτοβουλία συγκεντρώνει χρήματα με εκδηλώσεις ψηλού Πολιτιστικού επιπέδου, από τις 18 μέχρι 24 ΜΑΪΟΥ.

18 – 24 MAY 2010: Art exhibition. Well known Cypriot artists have donated paintings and these will be available for sale in order to raise funds for medical equipment and devices. Time: 10am -10pm

18 – 24 MAY 2010: Screening of the award taking documentary ‘Gaza we are coming’ By Costas Aygeropoulos and Yiannis Karipides. In collaboration with the Palestinian Community. Time: 8pm – 10pm

21 MAY 2010: Top event of the Initiative. Big concert with Jewish Gilad Atzmon, of the most active anti-zionist activists and one of the greatest jazz artists of our times. With Yiota Bei, a famous Greek artist. And with the Palestinian group Hip-Ηop WLAD EL HARA – The children of the nationhood. With the MELTEMI group and with the Cypriot singer Michael Tterlikka. Time: 8pm

On May 14th, the MV Rachel Corrie, a 1200-ton cargo ship, part of the eight-vessel Freedom Flotilla, set sail from Ireland on its way to the Mediterranean Sea. There, ships from Turkey and Greece will join her, then sail to Gaza. in the biggest internationally coordinated effort to directly challenge Israeli’s ongoing occupation, aggression, and violence against the Palestinian people. The ships will carry thousands of tons of reconstruction materials, school supplies, and medical equipment, as well as 600 passengers from over 40 countries. These passengers include members of Parliament from around the world, U.N., human rights and trade union activists, as well as journalists who will document the largest coordinated effort to directly confront Israel’s illegal blockade of Gaza and take in basic supplies.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition is comprised of:

· Free Gaza Movement (FG),

· European Campaign to End the Siege of Gaza (ECESG),

· Ship to Gaza Greece,

· Ship to Gaza Sweden,

· Turkish Relief Foundation-Insani Yardim Vakfi (IHH)

On the Greek ship, there will be representatives from several political parties of Cyprus, carrying a message of solidarity and freedom to the Palestinian people, together with humanitarian aid that has been offered by the Cypriot public. In parallel, a fundraising is taking place using the following bank account:

With this money, several items will be bought and transferred to Pireas.

In parallel, the Cyprus initiative is raising funds with high profile cultural events from 18-24 MAY.
